~What We Do~ Tilt & Trim Repair

Protecting Your Investment – Built to Outlast OEM Standards

We are a rebuild service and will remanufacture your existing unit to bring it back to factory standards. All parts are priced as kits. These items are separate: Trim, Motors, Rams, Seals, Seal Caps, Paint and Epoxy. We will disassemble, clean, and access parts as needed. The customer will be given an itemized choice of Services Wanted, which will be emailed to you before we start. Services include Sand Blasting, Epoxy, Paint, Trim Motors, Caps, and Seals. We do polish the old Ram’s as part of the service price to avoid future seal failure. As part of the service we will disassemble, clean, reassemble, and test before returning the unit to you.

Thorough Testing Before Every Shipment

Before any unit leaves our facility, it undergoes rigorous testing to verify correct pressures, forces, and valve functions. While we strive for perfection, occasional failures happen, and when they do, we stand behind our work. We not only meet but often exceed OEM specifications.

Serving Both Commercial and Recreational Customers

No matter if you're running a commercial operation or simply out for recreation, every unit we sell comes with a 2-Year Warranty. We believe in the quality of our work, and if companies like Tow Boat US and Sea Tow trust our warranty, you can too.

Warranty Support – What to Do if You Have a Problem

If you experience any issues, please contact us right away. Sometimes, we can offer quick solutions to keep you on the water and minimize downtime. We truly care about our customers, and if there’s a mistake on our end, we’ll make it right. We understand that boating seasons can be short, so if you encounter a minor issue (like a small leak), we might recommend continuing to use the unit and sending it in after the season ends, depending on your situation.

Shipping Warranty Items

If you need to send a warranty item back, shipping to us is your responsibility, although on occasion we may cover it at our discretion. If the failure is determined to be a result of workmanship or a defective part, we will cover return shipping to the lower 48 states.

What About Other Costs?

We do not cover any fees related to removal, installation, haul-out, or other incidental costs. Our warranty strictly covers the parts and workmanship on the rebuilt or replaced item.

What’s Not Covered by Our 2-Year Warranty?

Owning a boat can be unpredictable. From trailering accidents to hitting submerged objects, a lot can go wrong. We understand this and do our best to work with you, even offering discounted repairs when issues fall outside of warranty coverage. However, some things are not covered, including:

  • Traffic accidents

  • Striking submerged objects

  • Improper installation or grounding

  • Marine growth or corrosion from salt/brackish water

  • Submerged hydraulic components

  • Use of incorrect fluids

  • Poor maintenance of sacrificial anodes

  • Tampering with units

  • Sticky trim switches

  • Improper alignment or wiring

  • Faulty relays

  • Motor corrosion, rust, or burnout

  • Physical damage to rams, hydraulic lines, castings, or fittings

FYI:

  • We use specially manufactured seals that offer superior sealing performance and exceptional resistance to oxidation, UV exposure, fuel, and chemicals. Using premium materials like Viton and high-grade urethanes—often costing up to 15 times more than standard OEM seals—we invest in long-term durability rather than cutting corners. While the materials are more expensive, they are a small price to pay when you consider the overall value of your equipment. We take pride in breaking the cycle of short-sighted profit, always choosing to put the customer first.

  • Our team works hard to complete repairs as quickly as possible. During the winter months, turnaround times are at their fastest. Typically, you can expect a 2–5 day turnaround, even during our busiest seasons. We operate around the clock to ensure the process stays efficient, minimizing your downtime.

  • Every unit we rebuild is backed by a full 2-year warranty—a reflection of the confidence we have in our craftsmanship. If you ever experience an issue, we want to hear about it. It helps us continue improving our processes and ensures you receive the support you deserve. While no product can ever be 100% perfect, it's important to know we stand behind our work and will be there to help whenever you need us.

  • Sending in your unit is simple:
Just ship it to us with your name, phone number, return address, and a brief description of the issues. Within 5 business days of receiving it, we’ll have your unit rebuilt and on its way back to you. Customers are responsible for all shipping costs.

  • All of our service technicians are Salt Water Certified Outboard Mechanics with years of hands-on experience. They are highly skilled in the specific demands of marine applications and are experts at disassembling marine equipment carefully and correctly. Working out of a climate-controlled facility equipped with the latest technology, we maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency. Our systematic, detail-driven approach ensures your trim and tilt hydraulic unit is rebuilt to perform like new—or better.

    What Sets Our Rebuilds Apart:

    • 2-Year Warranty covering both parts and labor

    • Premium Seals engineered to last up to 10 years longer than standard OEM seals

    • Top-Grade Synthetic, Non-Degradable Marine Hydraulic Fluid for maximum longevity

    • Mirror-Finished Rams polished through a specialized 3-stage process using industrial 3-phase Baldor buffers, delivering a surface finish superior to factory specs—because a seal is only as reliable as the surface it moves on

    • Deep Cleaning using a high-pressure ultrasonic hot tank system for maximum internal cleanliness

    • Complete Valve Restoration—every valve is removed and cleaned in an ultrasonic tank to ensure peak performance
